It has been a grand start this year with a well attended concert for Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan followed by a concert in Singapore and also two video tracks on Jallikattu and "Engal India" which has been received so well.

Jugalbandhi Concert with Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt in USA during September, 2014

Sathya was blessed to be teaming up with Grammy Winner Padmashree Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt (on Mohan Veena) in a Jugal Bhandi concert performed at Wesleyan University, Connecticut on the 27th September, 2014. This was in association with CT Raga Club, Connecticut.

Sincere thanks to Dr. Sheenu Srinivasan, President CT Raga, Connecticut, Sri. Veer Gopalan, Connecticut -a well wisher, Sri Sriram Natarajan, Layyasaram who were the main sponsors for this concert and most importantly Sri. J. Sowmiya Narayanan, Washington DC who is principally the person who introduced us to Mr. Sriram Natarajan and also coordinated through out the period from the first contact with the University in March this year and ensured to have this Concert come through!

He was also kind enough to coordinate with all the other artists namely Chi. Kamalakiran on Violin, Sri. Vijay Ganesh, USA on Mrudhangam, Sri. Nitin Mitta USA on Tabla as well the most important Sri. Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt and performed as a Ghatam artiste as well. Thanks to Sriram Natarajan ji for performing on Kanjeera.

First Concert in London - November 03, 2013

What a coincidence! The earlier post is the 1000th concert and here is Sathya's First! yes first in London which was performed under the aegis of "Oru Paanai", a charitable organisation in London. This was enhanced by Sri. Balu Raguram on violin and Sri. M. Balachandar on Mrudhangam.

This is indeed The Almighty's Grace! Yes! Sathya performing his 1000th concert at The Music Academy! We never thought of this to happen and when it did, it was one of the pleasant and proud experience! Thanks to Arun Excello and Vijay TV for making this more memorable for us! Sri. B. Ananthakrishnan, Sri. Kumbakonam Swaminathan and Sri. Krishna enhanced the concert on Violin, Mrudhangam and Ghatam respectively.
