This has been a great start for Sathya fort this eyar Music festival performances with the heArtbeat Ensemble concert he performed with his uncle Embar S. Kannan on silent violin, Poongulam Subramanian on Mrudhangam, KV Gopalakrishnan on Kanjeera and Raman on morsing. It was indeed a great blessing for sathya and his confidence level would have really gone many folds after this concert as he was much appreciated by the audience and also great vidwans in the elite team of heArtbeat Ensemble. It was a great blessing for Sathya to have teamed up with Sri B.U. Ganesh Prasad on violin, Sri J. Vaidhyanathan on Mrudhangam and Sri Purushothaman on Kanjeera on the 22nd Nov'08. It was a learning experience for Sathya all the way and attempted Valaji varnam, Balasubramaniam in Vishnupriya (thanks to Rasikas org link) and Thilla in Maandu for teh first time.

Sathya performed a private concert in Chennai with Villiwakkam Raghuraman on Silent violin, Thillaisthanam Suriyanarayanan on Mrudhangam and Nanganallur Swaminathan on Ghatam on the 9th Nov'08. An audience who sat thru' almost the entire concert wanted Sathya to perform krithis as he would like to perform in a Sabha concert!

Sathya performing at Koothanur Saraswathi Temple on Viajayadhasami day 9th Oct'08

For the second year in succession Sathya got an oppurutnity to perform on the Vijayadhasami day - 9th Oct'08 this year, at the Koothanur Saraswathi Temple and went well. The team with Pakala Jayaprakash on violin, Thillaisthanam Suriyanarayanan on Mrudhangam and Hariharasubramanian on Ghatam & Morsing made an impressive concert which was well received by the audience. It is indeed a great blessing to perform in this temple, probably one of the first temple dedicated to Goddess Sarawathi in the world, particularly on the Vijayadhasami day.

A concert worth a wait for Sathya on violin as he was blessed to accompany a 2 hour concert with his mother that too in Sri Hayagreevar Sannadhi, Villiwakkam under Sathguru Sath Sangam, Villiwakkam. This concert was teamed up with Thillaisthanam Suriyanarayanan on Mrudhnagam and Hariharasubramanian on Ghatam. Grand cocnert for "Shanmugapriya" on 3rd Oct'08

It was indeed a good presentation by Sathya and team with Tabla Pradeep, Nadaswaram Balasubramnaian, Bass guitar Suri, Drums Sridhar and SangeethaRaja of Karthik Audios. Sri Abaswaram Ramjhi - now popular as IsaiMazhalai Ramjhi was there to bless Sathya and appreciated the team for their good show. The Join Director of the Handloom Department was happy on the performance given by this team. We look forward to more opportunities.
