Suiyanarayanan on Mrudhangam, Hariharasharma on Kanjeera and Chandrasekarasharma on Ghatam during December Music festival 2010 called the Marghazhi Music Festival - Chennai 2010. There was a pleasant surprise for us in the family when we tunned to Podhigai TV channel when Violin artist Sri. B. Ananthakrishnan had called to know the name of the Veena child artist who was performing and it happend to be Sathya's friend Sriram! Then we thought we would have Sathya's performance as well as this was recorded 7 years before, thanks to Sri Abaswaram Ramjhi who gave Sathya the first oppurutnity to be performing in DD! Sathya was fortunate to get an oppurtunity for teh first time and performed on the 10th November, 2010 from 630 - 730pm. Blessings of Sree Narayana Gurudev - concert on 25 August, 2010

It was indeed a great blessings to have got an oppurtunity to perform during the 156th Sree Narayana Gurudev Jayanthi Celebrations at Sree Narayana Mandiram located at Vepery, Chennai.In fact this is a concert arranged / recommended by Smt. Janaki, a devotee, who had seen Sathya's performance at Matha Amruthanandamayee Math in Chennai last month. Thanks to that Math and also this Mandiram for having given Sathya an oppurutnity as both are great Gurus and to perform for Gurus is always a blessings. This conceert was enhanced by Sri. B. Ananthakrishnan on Violin, Sri. S. Sridharan on Mrudhangam and Krishnababu on ajeera and predominantly on Thalam.

A great gift from a Rasika on 22 August, 2010 at Tirupur

Sri Sengottaiyan, a sincere Carnatic music rasika in Tirupur has extended a great gift to Sathya after his performance for Sri Krishna Sweets & Shanmugananda - Tirupur jointly sponsored concert under "Eppadi Padinaro" series at Tirupur on the 22nd Aug'10. By the time Sathya & team reached Chennai,  Sri Sengottaiyan, who had formally asked for permission to record this concert on video, has uploaded one of the tracks Sapapathikku Veru Deivam" in ragam Aboghi in his "Youtube" channel. It feels great for a artist to be featured in another channel of youtube apart from his own! Thank you Sengottaiyan aiyya for this great gesture. Looking forward to other tracks on Youtube at the earliest.

Aug 15, 2010 - A new attempt under Hamsavinodhini - Keyboard with Nadaswaram

It was an oppurtunity and Sathya teamed up with Nadaswaram and provided a Instrumental duet with Adyar Balasubramani on Nadaswaram. Sri R, Sankaranarayanan & Trichy Sri Krishna enhanced the concert on Mrudhangam and Ghatam respectively. Here are few video clippings:

A great Oppurtunity to perform with Legendary Musician at TTD Nada Neeranjanam

It was indeed a great blessings for Sathya to have been part of this great group of artists who performed under the Legendary Sri nendunuri Krishnamurthy for the 1st anniversary celebrations of TTD's Nada Neeranjanam concept performed on daily basis from 2009 at Tirumala.

This is the concert performed by Sathya & team of Karaikal Venkatasubramanian on Violin, R. Sankaranarayanan on mrudhangam and Valangaiman Hariharasubramanian on Ghatam. It came out very well as the audience appreciated attempts of Sathya to perform many Annamaya krithis. The Thanam presentation in Hamsanandhi, even though for a short duration was well received by the audience and so was the krithi Srinivasa Thiruvengatamudayan.

Song from Enthiran - Kadhal Anukkal - an attempt by this wonderful team

It was a again another oppurtunity like Sahana - song in Sivaji whch was performed on the second da of its Audio launch. Yes! Sathya, thanks to his cousin Vikram Sarathy, took this song from the original track which reached by courier with a Poster of a still from the moview along with signature of our "Super star Rajinikanth". Great effort by the team of Drumer Sridhar, Bass Guitar Suri and Karaikal Venkatasubramanian on the violin.

Another first attempt was this famous devotional number "Karpoora Nayagiye Kanagavalli" by the team with Pradeep on Tabla, Rajagopal on Timing and other percusions and Kumbakonam Swaminathan on Mrudhangam and 4 other songs in this playlist below:

New Attempts in a public concert - for MahaPeriyava Jayanthi

It was indeed a divine atmosphere which probably made Sathya to attempt these two krithis which are rarely performed now-a-days. H/ever Sankaracharyam was sung by POGO Amazing Singer 2008 - Abilash on the same day as main piece and so Sathya decided to just perform the song and not elaborate it with aalapana & kalpanaswaram. Sathya took up Manavati Krithi Yevaridho and tried out kaplanaswaram for the same.

The highlight is that these two krithis were sung Veenai Vidhwan Sri Karaikurichi Balaji and his daghter Ms Poornima when they had visited Sathya's house. We had recorded their singing - with their permission. As Sathya liked both the krithis he decided learn it from this recording itself and performed it on this auspicious day - Anusham & Jayanthi day of Maha Periyava. The place, Temple of MahaPeriyava's Pathugai located at PS Sivaswami Salai was indeed a apt location with full of divinity all over.

Instumental Duet - Classical concert with Embar S. Kannan

It was for the first time Embar S Kannan teamed up with Sathya on Keyboard for the concept of Instrumental Duet for Muland Fine Arts, Mumbai on the 29th May, 2010. Hope you all enjoy this combination. Sri Poongulam Subramaniam on Mrudhangam and Sri Rajesh Srinivasan on Kanjira enhanced the concert. Mauritius Independence Day Celebrations in Chennai on 12 Mar'10

Thanks to Mr Parvai Natarajan, Parvai Opticals, Egmore, Chennai who had organised a get together for around 20 - 25 students from mauritius to meet and celebrate the 42nd Independence Day with Sri Veeran Koomaren, Prsedent of Tamil Cultural Center, Mauritius who was on his official visit in the city.

Sathya has attempted to perform the National Anthem of Mauritius with his uncle Sri Embar S. Kannanwhich was well received and applauded.

A presentation to remember - February 04, 2010 - Private concert.

A very inspiring concert indeed after the 1st Jan'10. Yes it was on the 1st Jan'10 we saw two kids of age less than 5, coming near to Sathya 7 team while performing and this was indeed special on the 4th feb'10 with a child barely may be 3 years dancing like a Barby doll and also fininshing with the posture of actually conducting the music! Watch the first of the three videos and enjoy! Second one is Namdev's Abhang - Bhakta Jana Vatsale, first time Sathya has attempted this based on audience request fora Abhang. The third is a Medley by Sathya & team a presentation of various songs with no stop inbetween with variety of raagas, krithis patterns and speed

A great moment to perform Keyboard concert at Sri Ganapathy Sachidhananda Swamigal Ashram on 1st Jan'10

This is indeed a praised playlist for Sathya as it was performed on the 1st Jan'10 with great vidwans enhancing his concert with Sri. M. A. Sundaresan on violin, Sri J. Vaidhyanathan on Mrudhangam and Sri E.M. Subramaniam on the Ghatam. It is also the Ashram of a great Saint Sri. Ganapathi Sachidananda Swamigal of Mysore, who is also hailed as one who cures illness with Muisc played on Keyboard. It was at his Ashram branch in Velacherry, Chennai for Nadasudha.

The artists were so happy to perform in front of 1000 and more audience and the team had Karaikal Venkatasubramani on violin, Thillaisthanam Suriyanarayana on Mrudhangam Nadaswaram Adyar Balasubramani, Pradeep on Tabla, Bass guitar Suri, Drums Sridhar and Krishnabbau conducting the show.

It has been great blessing for Sathya with an article in "Dinamalar" Tamil daily on the January 1st, 2010 and followed by an article today January 3rd, 2010. It was topped up with a short interview and presentation report which was featured today morning at 10 Am as part of "Sabhash" programe whcih was telecast. I am sure every one seeing this video will like the presentation.
