It was a great opportunity to perform at the Sikkal Singaravelan Temple on the 22nd Oct'09. It is the day in this year marked as the day of Lord Muruga getting the weapon " Vel " from Amman to kill the demon which day is celebrated as "Surasamharam" on the sasti day i.e. 23rd Oct this year.



The concert started around 8:45pm and went on till 1130 pm and it was indeed a great presentation by Dr. Ghatam Karthick and team with Sri V.L. Kumar on Violin, Sri Poongulam Subramaniam on Mrudhangam, Sri K.V. Gopalakrishnan on Kanjeera and Sri Thirukannapuram Sowrirajan on Thavil & Morsing.

Koothanur Saraswathi Temple concert 27th Sep'09

It was indeed a great blessing for Sathya and team to have performed at Koothanur Saraswathi temple on the Saraswathi pooja day this year and we sincerely thanks the well wisher for taking so many clippings of this concert. These was performed in a private concert in Chennai on 19th Jul'09 with Karaikal Venkatasubramanian on Violin, R. Sankaranarayanan on Mrudhangam, Hariharasubramanian on Ghatam and Krishnababu on Thalam.

The success for the team of Embar Kannan, Poonglam Subramnian, Sathyanarayanan and Sriram Ramesh was seen with a child of may be Sathya's age was inspired by the performance of the team and drew a picture on a sheet of paper. He got their signature on the sheet and took it as a great memento. Congrats team! Also Sathya got the blessings of my guru Mrs Rose Muralikrishnan and Mr Muralikrishnan a pioneer in teaching Carnatic msic on keyboard from LA.

Like that without Dr Ghatam Karthick, (who could not take part due to unforeseen circumstances) heArtbeat ensemble had Sri Poongulam Subramanian as pace maker who took the all important role of a singer, konnakol vidan andKanjeera artist and Embar Kannan excelling his best during the concert made this concert a great success. It was nice of Mrs & Mrs Seetharaman to have expressed their views after the concert and was nice to know that they have been Sathya's performances.
